AccuChat
has been recognized at the national level for the past 8 years
as one of the best values in the telecommunications industry.
Based in Dallas, Texas, AccuLinQ
Communications is a full-service calling card company. Their success can
be attributed to extraordinary achievements in automation at the
clerical and billing level, keeping "overhead costs"
down. They are one of very few calling card companies that
actually owns its switch (they do not lease one). They can handle
an amazing 20,000
calls at one time. AccuChat customers also enjoy 24-hour customer service
with live operators. Your credit card or debit card will be automatically billed at
the end of each month. You only pay for what you actually
use each month (not "pre-paid"). There are no checks to send and no
extra paperwork. You will still receive a complete monthly
call statement on your own secure website (no charge). You
may also choose to have your statement mailed to you.
The only catch: There is a small monthly billing fee of
$1. If you do not use your card in a given month,
you are not charged a fee at all.
Those of you in Alamosa,
CO, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles,
San Antonio, and San Diego can call for just 3.9¢ per minute using
AccuChat's local access numbers in those cities. The
numbers are listed on the back of your AccuChat
card.
A personal note! As full-time RVers, we notice a huge
difference in our monthly calling expenses with
this card. We also find the automatic billing very convenient. We never have to
do anything :-) Please
E-mail us if you still have questions.

calling card from any of the big three you're being ripped
off!"

Comparative rate quotes above are as per FCC tariffs as of
7/98 for interstate calls. Rates exclusive of
taxes.
1There is no
surcharge but the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) now mandates a
fee
of 30¢ for payphone calls. This applies only
to payphones. The FCC takes this money and gives it to
the owner of the payphone. For more details, please visit the
FCC's website at http://www.fcc.gov
.
2Calls TO Alaska and Hawaii from anywhere in the contiguous
48 States are still only 6.9¢ per minute.
However, calls FROM those two
States cost a bit extra (if you live in Hawaii or
Alaska, email us so we can suggest
a different card).
